  1. Error 633 (modem (or Completely Different Connected Device) Is In Use, Not Yet Configured Correctly.

We’re testing an AZURE VPN connection on a brand new Surface Pro laptop running Windows 10 Enterprise and getting the following error message:

The modem (or other contact device) is in use, but already configured incorrectly.

This (laptop error 633) connects to our Microsoft docking station, and an ethernet cable is connected to it. I tried to connect our to vpn using a wireless cable. We don’t usually use cable boxes (still do?)

I have since also revoked and reinstalled the VPN client and certificate. The error has not changed.

This issue occurs intermittently. It works great for all of our second users and even for this user most of the time.

    We would appreciate any help.
